It's complicated. It has been more than a decade since Chick-fil-A's antigay image began to take root, thanks to reporting by LGBTQ media showing that the corporation, through its religious WinShape. The fast-food chain's donations have come under fire from activists. After courting controversy for years, the fast-food chain Chick-fil-A will no longer fund two organizations that have historically opposed same-sex marriage.

The company told ABC News Monday that it was refocusing its donations to groups centered on "hunger, homelessness and education" beginning in the new year.
